OACHE is sponsoring a Summit for the College Access Challenge Grant and the recently awarded High School-Higher Education Alignment project for the region. The Summit will be held at Shawnee State University in the University Center Ballroom on Tuesday, April 17th. Please join K-16 educators to share in the overview and discussion of promising practices in aligning senior English and mathematics with remediation-free college expectations, blended-learning high school courses, updates from the Board of Regents and Ohio’s Digital Learning Taskforce, as well as, P-20 strategies and best practices to support the work within the region. Included in the day is an interactive dialogue with high school teachers and higher education faculty. High school principals, teachers, counselors, central office personnel, and higher education faculty and administration are encouraged to attend.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by the keynote speaker, Dr. Aaron Thompson, at 9:00. The sessions will conclude by 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. We are asking for those attending to complete the registration (for ordering lunches, etc). Questions? Call 866-466-2243 or email Ken Cornwell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
